Dear Elder Morain Fan Club,
How has everybody been? I hope you've been doin good. I have been better than ever these past couple days. On Thursday I got my new companion, Elder Stock and he is awesome! He is from Bountiful Utah. He is 23 years old and a stud. We are best friends already haha. He actually just came from serving in the Ames 1st ward(which is where I served remember?) Well, Elder Stock and I had the opportunity to go to Ames on Saturday for a Baptism!!!!!!! Our mission president approved it because Elder Stock taught the lady getting baptized. It was my first time going back to an area that I have served in on my mission! It was like a dream come true for me. Brother Excell a member from Ames and our Bishop from Ames came to Waterloo and picked us up for the Baptism. I got to see so many amazing members that I hadn't seen for 11 months since I left Ames in December! I loved it so much. Being back in Ames was like going to Disneyland haha. We got to eat lunch at Hickory Park which is a well known restraunt, with some of the members I was good friends with. Then Curtis and Talia Jackson, members from Ames that I love, drove us back to Waterloo. It was definetley one of the best days of my mission.
This Wednesday I am going to Iowa City for our Mission Tour with Elder Lance B. Wickman of the 1st quorumn of the 70! I am so excited for this opportunity to be taught by him in my mission. I will make sure to let ya know all about it next monday.

Live from Salt Lake City...its General Conference!
Dear Elder Morain Fan Club,
Holler from ghettoloo(waterloo). I am lovin it up here. I am so excited for General Conference this weekend! This will be the last general conference on my mission. I have gained such an appreciation for General Conference by being on a mission. It means so much more to me now. The talks that I have heard on my mission have changed the way I think about my life. I look forward to sharing my insigts of conference with you next wednesday october 7th when I can email next.
We had a lesson with Arielle on Friday night. We told her as you come to know The Book of Mormon is true, will you be baptized. She responded, "Perhaps" In our lesson we taught her about prayer and left her with 2 Nephi Ch. 31 to read. She came to church for the 11th time yesterday. I really hope she will receive the answer she needs so she can be baptized. Thank you all for your prayers, for I truly feel them being answered before my eyes. I love you all and am thankful for the support you give me on my mission. I hope you all take advantage of watching General Conference this weekend with questions in your mind ready to be answered by the promptings you feel as you listen to the Prophets and Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ. I love this church with all my heart. I know it is true.

18 months down, 6 months to go!
Dear Elder Morain Fan Club,
Hows it goin everybody? I had a spectacular week! On Wednesday I got to go on exchanges in Cedar Falls with Elder Jackson. It was fun to be in Cedar Falls, back in a college town. We played bingo at an old folks home. It was a good time. So this week we had 2 lessons with Arielle. Our first one was on Monday night and we answered more of her questions. Then Thursday night we had another lesson. We brought a member who is a convert and he shared his conversion story. She was agreeing with pretty much everything he was saying. She came to church for the 10th time and I really think she is close to a baptismal date. Thank you so much for all of your prayers in her behalf.
Saturday was my 18 month mark and I celebrated it by burning a pair of pants(dont worry they were pants I found in the closet left behind) haha. It is a tradition in our mission to burn a tie at 6 months, a shirt at 1 year and pants at 18 months and a whole suit at 24 months lol. But it was a monumental day for me to reflect on these past 18 months. I can say they have been the best 18 months of my life so far. Well, I hope all is well with everyone out there. I look forward to hearing from you.

Happy Autumn!
Dear Elder Morain Fan Club,
Hows everybody been? I have been fantastic. So on tuesday we got to go to Cedar Rapids for Zone Conference. I had my interview with my mission President. He told me that I will be staying next transfer for sure because my companion is goin home at the end of this transfer. So I am so happy I get to stay here in Waterloo! I love it here, the people are so amazing. Arielle our investigator came to church for the 9th time yesterday. We have a lesson with her tonight. I really hope we can get her to read and pray about The Book of Mormon because if she does, she will get baptized. Please pray for her that she will receive her answer that the church is true.
Saturday September 19th is my 18 month mark of being on my mission. I will be 3/4 done. Words cannot descirbe how I feel about how fast the time is going. I just want to make sure to enjoy these last 6 months in Iowa. I have grown to love the people here in a way that I would never have felt towards anyone if I hadn't came here on my mission. Thank you so much for all the support you have given me these past 18 months. And thank you to all who helped me prepare to come out here on a mission. I would not be here without you.

Happy Labor Day America!
Dear Elder Morain Fan Club,
I hope everyone out there is havin a fun labor day. Cuz I sure will be havin one! First off I need to say how extremely happy I am that BYU beat # 3 in the nation Oklahoma!!! What a miracle that is. I hope all of you watched it and appreciate the magnitude of that upset. Also, the University of Northern Iowa(right next to my area) played University of Iowa # 22 in the nation(my last area) and it was almost a huge upset! It came down to the last second with UNI attempting a field goal to win, but Iowa blocked it, and UNI recovered it and attempted to kick another field goal with 1 second left. Iowa blocked that field goal too and won the game! Everyone was going nuts about that so I heard all about it haha.
So on friday we had a lesson with Arielle. She had 3 and a half pages of questions once again. I can tell that she cares about searching for the truth. I also got to meet a part member less active family. The wife is a member but her husband isnt. He seems very interested in our church and says he believes in a lot of the same things we do. I hope we can get them progressing.
Well, I get to go to Cedar Rapids tomorrow for Zone conference. It is an exciting time to be a full time missionary. Thank you all for your supporting me on my mission. I hope to hear from you soon!
